When the World Feels Like It’s Crumbling: Holding on to Christ Through the Struggle

There are moments in life when we find ourselves face-to-face with battles we never asked for. Trials that blindside us. Questions that professionals can’t answer. Pain no one else can see. These seasons can feel like walking through a fog — unsure, overwhelmed, and desperate for direction.
And yet…There is One who understands.
His name is Jesus.
The same Jesus who healed the sick, calmed the storm, and raised the dead — also knew suffering deeply. He walked every day of His earthly ministry with the awareness that the cross was ahead. He didn’t ignore it. He didn’t numb it. He brought it before the Father.
"Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."— Luke 22:42
Even Jesus, in His humanity, wrestled with the weight of what was coming. But what set Him apart — and what gives us hope — is that He continued to walk forward in obedience, love, and trust.
So how do we do the same?
How do we keep serving others with joy when our hearts feel heavy? How do we wake up and teach, parent, and care for others when we’re battling unseen struggles of our own? How do we surrender to the will of God when it hurts?
The answer isn’t found in pretending everything is okay. It’s found in pressing into the Father’s presence, just like Jesus did.
We cry out in prayer. We seek His Word. We walk one step at a time — not in our own strength, but in the supernatural strength that comes from the Holy Spirit.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness."— 2 Corinthians 12:9
Dear Sister, if you are in a hard season — one that no one else seems to fully understand — know this: You are not alone. The Lord sees you. He is near to the brokenhearted. He is walking with you in the fire, and He will not let go.
And in those moments when the world feels like it’s crumbling — let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. He is our Bright and Morning Star. He is our anchor in the storm. He is our peace in the middle of the unknown.
Let this be our prayer today:
"Lord, help me to be all You’ve called me to be — even when it’s hard. Help me to love like You, serve like You, and surrender like You. When I feel like I have nothing left to give, remind me that Your grace is enough. When the world feels like it’s crumbling, help me fix my eyes on You."
Keep going! You were made for such a time as this.
With grace and light,
